I hardly go to Hong Kong Island because it's so far away from my house. But today was special because I was meeting up with my friend to catch Pokemon!😍 Before we go around, we went for high tea. This cafe is very cozy and surrounded with flowers so it seems that we were sitting in a garden. After deciding to have tea set, it took around 20 minutes for it to arrive. Let's start with the savoury first: 1. Catch of the day:
It was actually smoked salmon with cream cheese croissant, the croissant was very special, it contained a range of nut which made the whole sandwich tasted very good. The smoked salmon tasted so refreshing with cucumber and the cream cheese was delicious.
2.Param ham with cucumber slice skewer:I thought Param Ham was only good with melon but it turns out that it tasted very good with cucumber as well. It was so refreshing, the combination was perfect. The Param ham wasn't that salty and the cucumber slice was thin and crunchy.
3. Jumbo shrimp with Thai sauce:This was one of my favourite! The Thai sauce was just amazing!!!!!!! It was sweet at first then sour for awhile and before I swallow it, it tasted spicy. Omg!!!!! There were three flavour in my sauce! It was delicious!!!!!!! The shrimp was meaty and tender! I actually wanted more!!!!!!
4. Crispy cheesy macaroni:This was my other favourite! I don't know how they deep fried it into triangle shape but it doesn't really matter. It was delicious!!!!!!! It was so cheesy and I love the fact that it was macaroni inside!!!!!! I couldn't take my mouth of this snack!
5. S'mores:This is actually a very evil dessert! The bottom was peanut butter and chocolate, and was covered with marshmallows. Apparently, this dessert is very popular these day. Because it had been in the oven so everything was melted, I got a piece of biscuit and dipped into the mixture. Once I had a bite of it, I couldn't stop because the combination of peanut butter and chocolate was amazingly tasty! At the end, I ate the marshmallows and the mixture on its own, it was very sweet but very yummy!
6. Over the rainbow:My mouth was full of chocolate so before eating the next dessert, I had some fruits to ease off my palate. The mixed fruits were refreshing but had no taste because my mouth was full of sweetness.
7. Sweet treat (Choco cream banana cup):This was another evil dessert! The banana was cut into very thin stripes and placed on top of melted hazelnut chocolate. There was also cream on top of the banana stripes. The hazelnut chocolate was so smooth and tasted so good with the banana and cream! My friend was about to lick the container.
8. Mango blueberries cream tart:The pastry was very crunchy and inner layer was covered with chocolate. The combination of mango and blueberries tasted so good, it really tasted like paradise.
9. Lemon lime sorbet:Again, this sorbet was to ease of my palate. It was very sour which helped to wash out all the sweetness in my mouth. The sorbet was smooth.
10. Strawberry milk pudding:The texture was super smooth! Make sure you mix the strawberry jam with the milk pudding otherwise it will be very sour.
Drinks:
1. Mango watermelon smoothies:The staff will remind you to mix the drink well before drinking. The mango flavour was very rich! The drink was refreshing and tasted like summer.
2. Blue butterfly drink:
Even though it looked purple, it actually tasted limey. It was refreshing and sweet at the same time.
