I had the Hainan chicken and braised pork knuckle rice ($55). A very hearty portion. The chicken was moist though a bit on the fat side. The pork knuckle had a lot of flavour. The rice was ok with a lot of ginger and garlic. There was also a serving of peanuts and the pickled carrots and daikon were very tart.

Boyfriend had the Chicken hotpot for one ($52). Though he asked for a little spicy, it was really spicy. The chicken was moist and tender. The portion here was quite a lot as well.

While we were eating, the staff was busily packing rice boxes into cartons. When we left, we realized they were giving away these meal boxes to the needy and various people who came to this restaurant have donated money to continue this cause. This was quite nice.

The food was a bit on the salty side but I assume it appeals to their customer base who prefers food a bit more intense in flavour. Portions were generous and most of the diners seemed like regulars.
