Izakaya reimagined, a new concept by OBH Group and newest addition to K11 Atelier’s in QB. We had the honor to try @torihachi.hk ‘s tasting menu (thanks again for inviting us!) shortly before their official opening - opened for both lunch/ dinner (price shown below), be sure to swing by if you are in the area! OVERALL: cozy space with counter table and normal seating available, recommend to ask for the counter tops as you can watch the chefs prep in action! portions are decently sized, order miso soup / udon at the end which will help balance the overall heaviness of the meal
DISHES:
🍭chicken skin lollipop - best dish of the night & must order, super crispy and you get the whole flavor of chicken skin without having it too oily
🐟🍰tuna mille fueille - tastes as heavy as it sounds, 4 layer pudding and heavy on the mascarpone, quickly filled up bellies given this was served as the second dish of the night
🐣🍳tsukune benedict - innovative dish as they made a hollandaise dip instead of the traditional egg yolk, tasty but tsukune could be better seasoned
🥚🥓tamago kurobuta - another hfb fav, simple egg wrapped with pork where the subtle charcoal taste of the grilled pork slices and the runny egg yolk mixed v well
🥩miyazaki wagyu - meat was super tender but quite greasy the wasabi helped to minimize the oiliness
