I have found that in the Kitchee Bistro at Shek Mun. My first patronage was last Monday and I could not resist coming back for lunch again today, bringing along my sister.
Today I ordered ‘pan-fried grouper fillet with seasonal vegetables and spicy sweet and sour sauce’ and my sister ‘mixed garden vegetables & potato patties with sun-dried tomato coulis’. The grouper is juicy and fresh-tasting and goes very well with the spicy sweet and sour sauce which is subtle and refreshing. The mixed garden vegetables are crunchy and fresh and the portion size is amazing. Look at the size of the red pepper on my sister’s plate! It is definitely a go-to restaurant for those who want to enjoy unpretentious healthy and tasty meal in a nice environment. In my visit last Monday, I was told by Chef Gary that the menu sometimes even includes cauliflower rice – great news for those eating low-carb.
I am very impressed with the amount of thoughts and efforts the chef put in in planning the menu and preparing food which provides both good sustenance and great taste. And at such reasonable price range, I find the Kitchee Bistro hard to beat.
Well done, Chef. Will definitely come again.
