What attracted me to BuraBura was the interesting decorations.  It is a newly-opened Japanese monster-theme restaurant in CWB.  The location of BuraBura is not easy to find as it is located in a old building next to a newspaper stand beside Sogo.  The entrance will be easily missed if you walk too fast.Walking up to third floor, the entrance decoration is very interesting .  A lantern ghost painted on the wall with red background.  It makes me feel like I'm inside an ally in Japan.  We rang the

Walking up to third floor, the entrance decoration is very interesting
.  A lantern ghost painted on the wall with red background.  It makes me feel like I'm inside an ally in Japan.  We rang the bell and a teen opened the door for us.  Stepping into the restaurant, I love this place.  The decorations was so eye-catching we forgot to order our meals.  There a lot of red Japanese lanterns hanging from the top and Japanese ghost animation on the walls.Tatami tables and small tables are available, the furniture theme is mainly wood. There's also a balcony for those who want to look out to the street.  In all, the decoration is warming and suitable for friends gathering who love ghosts and monsters, ideal for IG photos

The menu is in Chinese and Japanese but no English menu.  The dishes are named different kinds of ghosts or monsters from Japanese animation.  It is quite funny when you place order

Total of 5 dumplings and each have its own flavor on the top: teriyaki, eel, mayonnaise, yuzu and sesame. The dumplings is deep fried and crispy. All the tempura are black in color. Yes, those black-looking thingy are bamboo charcoal. Shrimp, chicken wings, pumpkin, green beans, potatoes and many more after offered. We ordered Okra. The outer is crispy and the okra is hot. Chicken bones and skin was served warm, would be better if both items can be grilled longer so all the fat can be grilled out.

We hesitated in choosing hot or cold sauce.  In the end, we chose cold sauce as it is the best on a hot summer day. Egg yolk, raddish and scallion was served on the side to add into the sauce.  We asked for wasabi to freshen up the flavor!

The rice cake is burnt to the outside and soft on the inside.  The outer sauce flavor taste like octopus balls and seaweed. It is very delicious.

Throughout our dinner, we noticed there are only three staffs..they seems hectic throughout the night with attentive service.  It seems like the restaurant is family or friends business.
