We were guided to a table for 4 by the waiter. A large beef set for 3 to 4 was then ordered. Aside from the beef, several appetizers came along with the set, including salads, seaweed, kimchi and carrot😛. The waiter kindly refilled these dishes once we’ve finished them.
I’ve quite enjoyed the salad. The dressing was quite refreshing and mixed well with the fresh vegetables.
The waiter then presented the beef sushi. The sushi was torched at our table and was slightly done when it was served. The rice was flavoured and overshadowed the taste of the beef slightly. Subject to that, the beef was delicately cut into thin slices and was an excellent starter.😍
The Shin Mapo Spicy Sausage Stew was then served. It consisted of some beef, noodles, some lettuce, Some sort of mushroom. I personally did not find the stew too spicy, and it brought a decent flavour to the noodles and the vegetables. It should be noted that some of the other items within the beef set could be added into the Stew as well, such as the rice cakes and the mushrooms.
Four cuts of beefs were served to be grilled. Including short rib, rib finger, rib and bely. Both the ribs and the rib finger were marinated in honey for a sweeter flavour. The short rib was thinly cut, and it only needs to stay on the BBQ pan for less than a minute. Prawns, mushrooms and sausages were also served to be grilled on the BBQ pan. The beef was so juicy and the seasoning was excellent. The prawn was nicely cut, and the shells were peeled off effortlessly.
The BBQ pan also provides for the heating of egg mixed with kimchi (refilled on request). Once again, the egg mix wasn’t too spicy for my taste. The half-cooked egg was slightly sweet, nicely contrasting with the grilled beef.
It was reli an enjoyable dinner and the price is reasonable at ard$200 per head. I will surely come again for those juicy beef and fresh prawns.
