Decided to try this new Japanese takeaway place with a colleague and was pleasantly surprised. The first thing that impressed me was the packaging. The food is packed inside a bamboo bento box with a simple paper bag given to the customer for takeaway. The sashimi rice I got was great, I am usually a little bit wary about the freshness of raw fish but I gave it a go and was not disappointed. The uni was perfectly fresh and sweet and the fish pieces were all thick and flavourful. Nothing was fishy at all and the rice even had a bamboo aroma from the box, which complemented the toppings and added another layer to the entire bowl. The box appears a little small but the portion is great because there is actually so much sushi rice packed inside that I was full by the time I finished it.
All in all a great little shop with high-quality delicious Japanese food and refreshing packaging. 💕
