After we placed our order, the bread basket was served.  In the basket were two different kinds of bread--beet bread and charcoal roll.  Peculiar colors for bread that were not only for visual effects!  The beet bread was a bright pink color because of beet juice that is added to the bread.  The beet juice gave the bread a pleasant natural sweetness!  The charcoal roll had a crispy crust, and the bread was delightful with oil and vinegar!

For our starters, K gor gor had the cauliflower salad, which I had on a previous visit.  I had the Asparagus Quinoa Salad.  Summer is the perfect season for asparagus as the asparagus was perfectly crisp and made a nice pop when I munched on it!  The mustard mayo dressing gave the quinoa a spicy kick, and the salad was a fresh appetizing start to our meal!

For the appetizer course, K gor gor and I shared the Salmon Tartare Cone and Blue Mussels with Garlic, Creamy White Wine Sauce.  The Salmon Tartare Cone had a luscious salmon filling.  Each bite consisted of the crispy basil cone, salmon roe that popped in the mouth, and silky salmon filling!  There were tiny bits of the basil cone that was not perfectly crispy possibly due to the humidity, or else it would have been perfect!

For the Soup of the Day, we had a lobster bisque.  The lobster bisque had a robust lobster flavor.  I prefer seafood bisques to be creamier, but this lobster bisque is the right creaminess for most locals that prefer soups to be not too heavy.

Prior to the main course, we had our Sorbet of the Day which was a Mixed Berry Sorbet.  The mixed berries gave the sorbet just the right amount of tartness to cleanse our palates before the heaviest course of the meal!
For our main course,  K gor gor and I decided to share two options again.  We decided to split the Grilled M9 Wagyu Ribeye with Shallot, Mushroom and Homemade Pasta with Mentaiko Sauce.

Grilled M9 Wagyu Ribeye with Shallot, Mushroom--The wagyu ribeye had the perfect medium rare pink interior!  The steak was tender and juicy!  The potato puree carried a beautiful mushroom flavor, and the endive had its distinctive bitterness!  This dish was an umami bomb!  As I'm writing about this dish, I'm reminiscing about that silky potato puree!

Homemade Pasta in Mentaiko Sauce--The fettuccine was perfectly al dente, and the mentaiko sauce was creamy and pungent!  This dish was another umami bomb and a perfect fusion of Italian and Japanese flavors!

For the Dessert course, I let K gor gor have the Strawberry Fairy, which I had the last time, and I went for the Dessert of the Day, which was the Purple Potato Delight.  The purple potato bar had a a brownie-like texture, and the level of sweetness was just right.  You know those desserts where you can tell it was sweetened with lots of sugar, this is definitely not the case here!

To conclude our meal, I had an Iced Marshmallow Latte.  I was a little surprised to see the kiddie marshmallows atop my coffee, but it goes with the whimsical decor of the restaurant!  The coffee had a  good strong flavor despite the kiddie garnish!

Although the decor of Princess Cafe might deter some patrons who find it too girly or fairy tale-like, don't let the looks fool you!  As I have said to many, Princess Shanice (the owner of the restaurant) uses high quality (pricey) ingredients, and the chef is highly-skilled as well.  The plating is creative and never disappoints!  Never judge a book by its cover!
