Holy Crab appears to be a new American upscale casual dining experience added to the already exciting array of restaurants hovering over the vibrant streets of Lan Kwai Fong. Situated on the 3rd floor of the Cosmos Building, it was a an easy walk up even if the elevator was slow. Upon entering the well-lit lobby, I was quickly greeted and escorted inside by a tall statesque host who guided me to my awaiting friends. Most of the seating is part of long family style tables. Colorful is very much the word for the interior. It's nice and bright as well as added a playful atmosphere. My friends all ordered white wine though I was keen to try the craft beer selection which held my favorite Longboard by Kona Brewing Company. With a glance at the menu, my wallet stiffened. The prices were a bit steep but willingly I let my friends order away. For the five of us we had two buckets of sublime lightly and perfectly seasoned fried clamari as well as fried crawfish poppers. Before our next two buckets, our wait staff brought over really cute aprons with the Holy Crab logo on them. Turns out my friends had went over to the fresh water pools where they could actually look at and choose the live seafood for our dinner. Later, I learned that the seafood is imported from the USA. I must admit I felt a lot better about the pricing afterwards especially after eating the snow crab legs and humongous tiger shrimp. The snow crab legs were a major favorite. Those four buckets were more than enough for us five. I didn't get to try the apple pie or the brownie dessert though the group sitting next to us did order it and it looked quite tasty.
