I ordered a cup of iced Hong Kong style stocking milk tea and opted for no sugar. The shop assistant was so friendly that she reminded me the tea would taste quite strong without syrup. I am totally fine with it. I actually like it with strong tea flavour instead of tasting lots of syrup in it.
The milk tea came in a nice cup with illustration of traditional local restaurants, which brings back lots of childhood memories. Actually Caring Tea has a retro interior design which replicates that of traditional local restaurants. It gives you a feeling that you have travelled back in time. Alright, back to the tea, it is real lit local milk tea with strong tea flavour. Smooth and aromatic, very enjoyable. The cup is quite large though, I would actually prefer a smaller cup of milk tea served hot.
There is a reason why Caring Tea is caring. For every cup of drink purchased, Caring Tea will donate HKD$1 to one of the two selected organizations, one of which supports clean water in remote China, while the other supports children education in China. You will be given a token after placing your order, and you get to decide which organization to support. I like how Caring Tea helps me build good karma by such a small action while purchasing a drink.
