When I first went to Hungry Dino, it was a small takeaway shop in Causeway Bay serving Korean style inari sushi. They were big and delicious. And it became a regular takeaway place for me. But then it closed. Or so I thought. I discovered it reopened later in Central with a whole new expanded menu. I was wary. It was a takeway stand. What more can they do? The place is larger. Now two floors though the bottom floor is more like the kitchen and bar area.

Upon entry, they give you a dinosaur keychain. It's not for you to keep but to let the staff upstairs take you to your table.

The dining area is upstairs. It was a lot smaller than I expected but there was lots of light. Dinosaurs were decorated every where.

And their original dinosaur that they had in the Causeway Bay shop is also here.

Lunch time they offer a lunch set menu that includes an appetizer and tea. Menu is in English and Chinese. Apparently they now focus on Japanese style food.

I had a Milk Foam Oolong with Mochi Balls as all special drinks were $42. Very pretty looking with three small dango on top sprinkled with kinako powder. The milk foam had a slghtly salty taste and was very thick. The oolong was light and refreshingly cold.

Boyfried had the Grilled Black Cod with Saikyo Miso with Japanese Dressing Salad Set ($164). It also came with a big bowl of rice.

The fish was perfectly cooked and very sweet in taste. There was a pickled ginger on top.

The salad was a mix of fresh orange slices, cherry tomatoes and crispy lettuce.

For $28 you  can add a Cutlet Aji. This was bigger than we though when it arrived. The coating was very crispy. The fish was well fried. So well fried, you can eat everything including the bones.

I had the Bean Curd (5 Pieces) with Tuna Mini Roll Supreme Set ($178), an upgrade of their original menu. Choosing set B (from left to right): minced tuna, salmon roe with crab paste, tamago with cheese and crab roe, grilled engawa with yuzu and seared surf clam salad. What can I say? Though the inari is now slimmer than before, it is much more improved. The rice was soft and sweet. The bean curd wrapping was thin and soft. The toppings were better balanced. Three tuna maki were fresh.

The food is now much better than before. A menu is not only larger with more choices but the food is better crafted. Beautifully plated and inviting. Lunch sets are a fair price. So will be back.
