Dan Ryan is definitely not my all time suggestion when it comes to American big comfort food. My friend insisted to give it a go as it's been awhile. We were reserved with a table down to the corner of the restaurant. Nice to have some privacy but difficult to reach staff. Even we seek one staff's attention who was serving the table beside. Buffalo cauliflowers was the best among tonight'a dishes. Crispy coating with moist cauliflower. Well toasted with buffalo sauce. Love the kick from the buffalo.
Chicken quesadilla was okay. It was fully stuffed end up stuffing kept falling off while eating. Salsa was nice to give some moisture for every bite, otherwise every bite on its own was dry.
Carbonara was in American style with heavy cream. It was heavy and rich. Even we shared between three, we couldnt finish it. It was seasoned well which I would like extra cracking pepper for a kick.
Classic burger was disappointing. Room temperature burger bun without toasting, sandwiching an overcooked chewy patty. Fries were soggy and again serving in room temperature. Just a disappointment, we didnt finish it as well.
Lastly, we were having difficulty to seek staff attention for checking the bill. Even we managed to seek staff attention for that, it took an exact 20 minutes for the whole bill situation... Very frustrating.
