After You Dessert Cafe opened as a limited time pop-up cafe a couple of years ago for Christmas. The cafe was originally from Thailand and it was popular. But now it has returned to become a permanent restaurant. In the same exact space. Since it opened, there was always a lengthy queue. But as all newly opened places, lines die down and there is now no longer a need to queue. And it was then I decided to give it a try.Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. You also order and pay at the cashier. Menu has expanded since the pop-up. There are now more toast and drink choices. There now have kagikori and other desserts.
I decided on a signature of theirs: mango sticky rice kagikori ($148). Not a very big size but it's more than enough for one person. It was topped with a very rich thick coconut cream and crunchy rice. There was an extra pitcher of whipped coconut cream and mango coulis. The shaved ice was fluffy but not a lot of mango taste.
Right when I thought this is their interpretation of sticky rice, I dig in and find this. An actual mound of mango stick y rice. The rice was sweet with a slight saltiness. There were chunks of fresh mango.
Overall, it was ok. Not worth lining up for but it was fine for a break.
