To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

現在在酒店吃一客有質素的Afternoon Tea,3人同行share Set of 2,都要差不多$200買單;而又,獨樂樂不如眾樂樂,可惜鐵腳難搵。但當甜品癮起,怎辦?金鐘的JW Marriott去年底在Lobby開了間可以Dine-in的Cake Shop。雖然素知JW Marriott的食物質素麻麻,但見到雜誌引述,此Cake Shop的蛋糕全都是由Jason Licker度身訂造,設計組合又創新。心想:此地非到不可,止癮一流。終於在某個悠閒的下午到此一遊。那時大約4時許,當時店中一個人都沒有。從店的設計來看,全部都是高腳Bar椅,感覺高尚。雖然是酒店小小的一角,但與此地段非常匹配。人客來源應多是在太古廣場工作的白領-或買個Take-away的Light Lunch,或在Coffee Break時一邊飲咖啡、一邊與好姐妹Gossip一下。快來快去,輕鬆自在。這個玻璃櫃真係目不暇給,蛋糕擺放亦見心思。最主打、最有特色的甜品,全都放在最左手面。如上圖所見,Smoked Vanilla Mousse, Balsamic和Gianduja Crunch Tart就是Signature

這個玻璃櫃真係目不暇給,蛋糕擺放亦見心思。最主打、最有特色的甜品,全都放在最左手面。如上圖所見,Smoked Vanilla Mousse, Balsamic和Gianduja Crunch Tart就是Signature Pastries。

心大心細,樣樣都想試。最後聽完女店員耐心介紹後,就選了Smoked Vanilla Mousse, Balsamic ($48),倒是很好奇:煙燻的Mousse味道和質感是如何?又叫了杯Hot Caffe Latte (Regular) ($35),用的Coffee Bean是House Blend,值得一試。

之後就乖乖地在Bar檯靜候佳音。也很快,Order便送上了。送上時,女店員用精緻的木盤遞上,擺放精美,心裡暗暗地「哇」了一聲的讚嘆~

先呷了一口Caffe Latte。一向對酒店的咖啡沒有信心,然而飲了後又覺得,"Not Bad"!雖然Latte Art非常失禮,似有還無非常曖昧,但Milk Foam還算是綿綿的,比例適中。至於味道,有點驚訝咖啡豆的特性竟然如此的濃烈,果味濃厚;細問之下,原來此店有別於其他咖啡店的習慣,特地用上Double Shot (Expresso)。也真特別,但對於平時飲奶系咖啡都要加糖的女士,也許會嫌它太苦了吧!

然後就試試主角!Smoked Vanilla Mousse, Balsamic。外表平凡,但細味之下才見真章。煙燻處理過的Mousse果真特別綿滑,質地也有點曖昧:望上去似雪芳蛋糕般輕盈,但放入口卻是Mousse的幼滑。而放在口腔一會兒,竟然有些特別的木香味滲出來!

Vanilla Mousse內裡夾著的是Strawberry Balsamic Jelly,同樣做得香軟。事後回家翻查The Flavor Bible,發現原來意大利香醋 + 雲尼拿 + 士多啤梨的組合大家都很夾大家,總括而言係「無得輸」!呀,不得不提的是餅底,非常鬆脆,總之一整個Pastry都是充滿驚喜和令人滿意的。

臨走前,問了一下望上去較Senior的女店員有關咖啡豆的東西。原來House Blend即是Costa Rican,Columbian和New Guinean三地出產的豆混合再自家烘焙。味道的確較為圓潤,有香濃的朱古力味。又忽然覺得,此Blend的口味是為了適合女性的口味...又發現,此店的Coffee都以Double Shot做Base的。

和她交換了飲咖啡的喜好,又一齊研究下Menu。我發現有2杯挺Signature的Coffee,一杯叫Lavender Mocha ($40);另一杯是以法國名物鹽之花命名,叫做Caramel Fleur De Sel Latte ($40)。挺好奇這個組合的味道會如何,而細心的女店員又很主動的問我,「要不要試試看?」當然卻之不恭喇!5星級的酒店就總愛為客人送上貼心的驚喜。

雖然這杯是Complementary的咖啡,但女店員仍毫不馬虎為我準備這杯咖啡。影了她的背影,在此說聲多謝!

這杯焦糖咖啡飲落香滑,雖用紙杯盛載,但奶泡比起上一杯是更綿密和厚身,令人滿意!但加了焦糖對我而言是有點甜,甜得咖啡的特性不知跑到哪兒去;但誠如女店員所說,這杯咖啡是讓不太愛咖啡的苦、但又想間中飲下咖啡的女士品嚐。由此角度出發,這杯咖啡是非常稱職;至於名物鹽之花,我覺得是個Gimmick,但它的確能使焦糖的甜味昇華,使飲品變得高貴!

買單時女店員令送上$10 Coupon,2月底到期。我是會再回來的,最想試下Gianduja Crunch Tart和Panini Sandwiches!
