Bought 8pm movie tickets at IFC. Arrived IFC AT 19:00, need to be quick for the dinner. So, we choose this Asian Twist. Never heard this name before. I am more familar with toast box. It seems that they offer similar food. My boyfriend would like to order the coconut rice with rendang chicken. Only to find that they didn't have coconut rice. Only ginger rice or rice. I didn't feel like toast for my dinner & I didn't want curry either. So I chose Fried Vermicelli. The girl took my order, but told me few minutes later that they didn't have fried vermicelli too! (So, what they have??? I wonder!!!!! ) They just didn't have the fried one, but they still have the normal vermivcelli (weird). As their menu offers only few choices, I was forced to choose sweet & sour gravy with rice vermicelli. Luckily, it tastes not bad. Actually, it's quite good. I like the sweet & sour taste.
We also order 2 drinks:
(1) +$6 Hot Barley (2) +$10 Mandarin Lemon with Aloe Vera both taste not bad, for its price.
Overall comment: bad impression that they didn't tell us in advance that no more coconut rice/fried vermivcelli is avaliable. If we were not in a hurry, we must just left and chose another restaurant instead. The waiter didn't speak a word when we were paying the bill, no 'thank you'. No service at all.
Food is not bad, but rather expensive. (But I know, it's in IFC) I will definitely prefer toast box than this restaurant.
