I have been looking for Italian restaurant to try out then I found this one. There are 2 locations of Al Dente & I picked the Wanchai location due to the SMILEY faces...ha ha no logic here. Anyhow, this was my pre-birthday celebration dinner & I am glad that I have made the right choice. To be honest, I wasn't comfortable with the size of the restaurant as they "maximize the resource" to the extent that the tables are so packed that you won't be able to pass through the aisle. To be honest, I wasn't comfortable with the size of the restaurant as they "maximize the resource" to the extent that the tables are so packed that you won't be able to pass through the aisle. Then, you may not be able to waive for help as all the waiter/waitress were miles away.
Alright, back to the food...we had:
Bread loaf (on the house)..the cheese & olive oil dip source is unbelievable...just perfect match with the bread
Green salad with vinegrette dressing...decent portion for 2, very fresh & I love the rocket leaves!
Parma ham pizza (small size)...nice job done yet it came out to be warm instead of mouth burning hot...needs improvement.
Linguine with fresh clams...my all time favorite, taste was excellent, linguine was al dente (no cheating!). I will order this dish only if it said "FRESH" clams...it makes a big difference to the canned one
Overall comment: come & try it but pls keep your personal belonging to the minimum...no room for that!!!
