Artichoke Salad

There were sliced oranges, cherry tomatoes, mixed greens, artichoke and walnuts in the salad. All of the ingredients were very fresh, except artichoke. The artichoke tasted a bit sour and bitter. It looked like they put some sort of canned or pickled artichoke into the salad. I definitely wasn't a fan of it.
Other than that, I didn't have much to complain the salad. I particularly loved the sliced oranges and cherry tomatoes as they both were super sweet and added a lot of flavours to the salad.
The chef was smart enough to use balsamic vinegar to pair with the salad. The taste of the balsamic vinegar was neither too sweet nor too sour. It was perfect enough to enhance the freshness of each ingredient.
Steamed mussels in cream sauce

I expected this dish to be hot and delicious after having a tasty salad. However, I was pretty disappointed at this steamed mussels. The first thing I noticed was that it wasn't hot enough. The mussels were overcooked and thus the texture was a bit rubbery.
They didn't seem to be very fresh and absorb the flavour from the sauce very well.
The cream sauce itself wasn't creamy, but it was pretty tasty. If the dish was a bit hotter, the sauce would taste even better. The garlic bread that came with the dish was ok. There was nothing special about it, but the good thing was using it to dip the sauce to eat.

Since the steamed mussels was pretty disappointing, so I didn't expect too much from chicken fajitas. I thought making my expectation as low as I can would make me feel better, but I was totally wrong. This dish was the worst dish I've ever had out of this entire meal.
It smelled good when the staff served us the dish, but the chicken was completely tasteless.
I didn't know what I was eating. It had no meaty taste and looked like they didn't season the chicken at all. The bell peppers and the onions underneath the chicken were very greasy.
I guess they put way too much oil into making this dish.
Tortillas and the sauces (sour cream, guacamoles and salsa) that came with chicken fajitas

There were nothing special about the tortillas and the sauces. It looked like one of those things you can buy it from supermarket. They tasted pretty ordinary, except the salsa was a bit better. The salsa was a bit sour and spicy. Eating it with the chicken together made the chicken less tasteless and that was the only good thing about it.

Although there were two out of three dishes were not up to the standard, I will still come back and try other dishes because I adore their salad. Hope to see an improvement in the quality of their dishes in the future.
