The long queuing time, the messy construction site right in front of the shop, its isolated location and cumbersome access offset the good quality of food and ambiance therein. It is not possible for a restaurant of this caliber to have customers to wait for 1.5 hours, given that the highly anticipated hot chocolate is just slightly above standard. The chocolate chip which is supposed to hang on top of the cup and melt gradually, as it turned out was a complete disappointment. When the the drinks was served, I hardly found any chocolate chip, not to mention we had to urge the waitresses repeatedly for our order below they finally arrived which were 30 mins later. Worse still, the muffin we ordered was hard in texture. Out of the six flavor, only the Banana & Mint impressed me.

The only reason the shop got so crowded is merely from the publicity it received from the local food magazine. Apparently, the educated diners would find this place below par. There are better choices out there considering food quality, environment and price, like Cova and Vergnano. This would be my last visit to Vero undoubtedly.
