Creo by Bentwood has newly opened a branch in Happy Valley following its nice reputation and customer base built from its Kenndy Town and Kowloon Bay branches. The colourful graffiti style facade of the cafe was designed by multiple local artists. It was very catchy and instagrammable and it fits well with the streetscape of Shing Wo Road. The cafe serves a variety of drinks and dishes at reasonable price. The cafe serves a variety of drinks and dishes at reasonable price. It is the right place for light meals, drinks and full portion meals. The nicely renovated outdoor seating area is also the perfect place for paw owners.
As recommended by the staffs, we decided to order their signature items on our first visit:
🍖Spicy BBQ Pork Belly Roll ($138)
The pork belly roll was incredibly filling and satisfying. The pork belly roll was grilled till crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was very flavourful and had a decent Smokey aftertaste. The butter roll was slightly toasted and was topped up with spicy mayo and pickles on both side. Love the layering and combination of the dish!
🍓Eton Mess ($88)
The Eton Mess is a traditional English dessert consisting a mixture of strawberry, crushed meringue and whipped cream. It tasted like a creamy cloud of strawberries, punctuated with tiny bits of crispy meringue. It is the guilty pleasure to brighten up your day!
🥛Royal Brûlée ($48)
The royal brûlée is an earl grey latte with a layer of caramelised sugar just like the creme brûlée. The drink was foamy and creamy with a decent floral aftertaste of the earl grey tea. Personally, I am definitely a fan of the drink!
☕️Magic ($40)
The proportion of espresso and milk was very well balanced. The coffee was more on the nutty side. It was definitely the perfect drink to fuel up the day!
