This restaurant is a place I discovered while going to the washroom at Cityplaza. Why? Because there was a sign directing you to go to this place while heading to the washroom. Boyfriend and I followed that sign and lo and behold. We were here. They had afternoon tea sets that seemed like quite a bargain. We decided to have an early dinner here. This was a tofu pudding and minced pork rice noodles ($45). There was no soup and it was literally minced pork with tofu. We added $6 for mushrooms so it felt a bit less like eating baby food. I wasn't really sure how I felt about this. It looked horribly unappetizing but it actually tasted good. Mixing it up, the tofu developed into a sauce. The noodles were smooth and chewy. The minced pork was sweet and savory.
Spare ribs with black rice vinegar ($50) came with a bowl of rice. It was a bit too sour but the meat was moist enough. At least the sauce wasn't too thick and clingy like some places.
Steamed pork dumplings ($20) was supposed to be with mushroom broth. I wasnt sure but it tasted ok. The skin was a bit thick but the meat was very flavorful.
Food was ok. It did taste better than it looked. Price wasnt' expensive and portion was decent enough. Not sure if I'd return though.
