💰 Price: $788 pp (+10% service charge) ❗️Apart from the risotto and dessert, everything was a sharing portion between 3 which was slightly underwhelming at times.
Pic 1️⃣: Crab & Avocado salad topped with caviar & sea urchin
— Didn’t expect this to come alongside their signature sashimi platter so we were pleasantly surprised! A good variation of fresh sashimi. The highlight was definitely the crab and avocado salad which was really well seasoned and flavourful. Loved the addition of caviar and sea urchin for a burst of flavour.
Pic 2️⃣: Saffron & prawn risotto, preserved lemon and salicornia
— Taste was good, but unfortunately the rice was overcooked to a point that the risotto was mushy. Wish the prawns were better seasoned as the dish lacked flavour in general. Though the salicornia really helped by adding a slight saltiness to the dish.
Pic 4️⃣: Grilled wagyu sirloin, goma butter soy, charcoal asparagus and edamame purée
— Probably my favourite dish! The wagyu was so tender and juicy, and really flavourful just on its own. The goma butter soy went so well with the wagyu and really emphasised the meaty flavour of the steak. The edamame purée was a highlight as it’s not something I usually see being served, the flavours in the purée were just right and did not overpower any of the other elements on the plate.
Pic 5️⃣: Pan-fried cod, Mediterranean fregola & tomato concassé
— Portion size was underwhelming considering this was for 3 people to share. Fish itself had a good distribution of fat, making it super tender. However, it lacked seasoning and relied heavily on the tiny amount of tomato concassé for flavour.
Pic 6️⃣: Dark chocolate & black sesame fondant, salted caramel & vanilla ice cream
— Really enjoyed this dessert as you don’t often see black sesame lava cakes! The black sesame taste is strong and the dessert isn’t overly sweet. The salted caramel sauce helps cut through a bit of the sweetness.
Overall rating:
😋Taste: hit or miss with the food, food is very average. I would say you’re paying more for the ambiance and skyline views.
📍Ambiance: interior is impeccable, staff are friendly and professional
⭐️Would visit again?: Maybe, for drinks
