My dad took me here for my first 油渣麵 more than a decade ago at this shop. Since then I have fallen in love with this local dish as well as this tiny little store. The lady is still here all these years serving them up hot and tasty. Why hasn't this place got any michelin stars? The 油渣 are a bit chewy, more so than most other stalls. Some that I have eaten are quite crispy, but at 恆達 I think they soak it back in the soup thoroughly before serving. For the noodles, I think they are homemade, thick
The 油渣 are a bit chewy, more so than most other stalls. Some that I have eaten are quite crispy, but at 恆達 I think they soak it back in the soup thoroughly before serving. For the noodles, I think they are homemade, thick and chewy (you might have gathered now that I like chewy food, haha)....The soup base is pork, and very very rich. There is one thing about eating 油渣麵 and it's that we should add some 菜寶 on top, it adds a bit of spiciness to it and also, as mum says, "every meal must have vegetables". HAHAHA
They have a tasty drink as well, 羅漢果, it is very cooling to drink especially in the summer. The best buddy to the 油渣麵.
Besides 油渣麵, they also serve many local favourites like siu mai, etc. Their fish soup is very famous apparently but I have never tried because I don't like fish soup.
