I came across this izakaya in TST last friday and it was a refreshing change from the usual japanese outlets in town. The interior is designed like a wine bar with dramatically lit ambience and intimate settings. The menu is predonimently yakitori with sushi items. The biggest surprise is the creativity of the dishes. Here are a few must try items:

Minced chicken stick- unlike the usual chicken stick, here you have a choice of many original sauce. The one i recommend to try is the "Mentaiko and cheese sauce". Also unlike the normal vegetable sticks you get in other places, here a plate of cabbage is served as underlay for the yakitori, so at the end all the juices from the skewer is dripped onto the salad.

Seafood sushi rice with waffle- this is a signature of the house. Instead of nori, a waffle is used to sandwich the rice and the seafood.

Dried fugu tempura- this is a ideal snack to  go with the sake and wine. Protion is also quite generous.

The manager recommended a white wine to go with the food. The Abadia San Campio Alberino from Spain is medium body with a layers of honey, pineapple and citrus flavour. Prices of the wine is affordable too.

This is a place where a group of friends can spent a enjoyble  night over some delectable food and wines.
