This is my first time at Le Marron after hearing so many good things about this place. And I was pretty impressed by both the food and the vintage decor here.We went for the Christmas menu ($588 pp), consisting of the seafood platter, appetiser, main and dessert. The Spanish king prawn was amazing! Very fresh and not fishy at all. I really appreciated the generous portion of caviar given. The mushrooms were nice too, especially when completely dipped in the rich and flavourful white truffle cream

The mushrooms were nice too, especially when completely dipped in the rich and flavourful white truffle cream sauce.

And the foie gras, as always, was super delicious. It was nicely cooked to give a crispy surface and it was very tender and yummy on the inside. The bread that came with it was very crunchy too!

The onion soup tasted nice, and it came with a piece of crispy toast topped with cheese powder. When dipped in the soup, the cheese powder gave it an extra texture which was more rich and layered.

Before the mains came, we were served some tiny lime sorbets to clear our taste buds to prepare for the dishes to come.

The mains we had were the duck breasts, rib-eye steak and white cod fillet. All 3 tasted great, but my favourite was definitely the steak. It was super tender and juicy tho it was cooked medium. There was a nice mix of lean meat and fat to give it a perfect flavour.

Last but mot least, I went for one of their signature desserts, the French pear w/ creme brûlée. It was very creamy as expected and I liked how it wasn’t excessively sweet like some other French desserts ☺️
