Had some work business to deal with for lunch that day so played hookie and called a friend out for lunch. We were in the Wanchai area and I heard there was a restaurant that had really yummy spicy noodles. When we found this restaurant at around 1pm, it was packed and there were 5-6 people still waiting outside. When we finally got in, we had to share a table with 3 other patrons, but that was alright. The aroma coming from the kitchen was enough to make my mouth water. The whole restaurant was
The soup base was spicy and not too oily, and the extra green onions really freshened up the whole deal. This isn't the usual Yunnan spicy noodles you taste outside--it wasn't blasting with flavor--but it had that tantalizing taste that makes you want to keep eating it until the very last bite. OF COURSE, the pork chop was to die for too. It was thick and juicy, and not a least bit dry. I still have trouble pinpointing what was used to marinate the pork chop, but it probably include a lot of different spices.
Overall, it's definitely a restaurant I'll revist (over and over) again. Perfect place for a quick and simple lunch, or tea break.
