Was thinking to catch a late dinner on the way home. Looking like a decent Chinese authentic hotpot and 大排dong place with congee, was expecting something good. But was bitterly disappointed...Wanted some veggies and ordered fish tofu on top of broccoli and stir fried spare ribs and a bowl of congee. She came out with congee which we left to cool, then the broccoli dish became a tofu fish on top of melon.. Which I don't eat.. Originally thinking it was a mistake in the order. But she kept saying,
The veggie reappeared now on top of broccoli (which wasn't it that the kitchen had run out??!), but of course the broccoli look older than my grandma, starting to take on a yellowish appearance and definition not crunchy. My husband, being a good sport gave it a try and it looked like it melted as he bit in as it was so soft and stale... The fish tofu that they said was famous was like a gluten ball of mess... Luckily the meat was still ok decent... We ended up leaving without finishing.. Only good thing my partner said was the coke.. The only thing good was that I didn't eat much so wouldn't gain weight..
