My very first visit to this Korean vegetarian restaurant after having bookmarked it for some time. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and was nicely surprised that the place was uncrowded. The thoughtful interior with neutral colour palette and nature inspired elements just oozes Zen.  I love the concept of the restaurant. The name “Soil to Soul” is poetic and captures their mission - creating Buddhist temple inspired soul-nourishing food from Earth.

𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐭 (HK$498 for 2)
Beautiful presentation. You get around 10 bite-size treats each to sample and savour, paired with Korean beetroot tea which was very bland.

The honey coated top worked really well with the neutral taste of the yam!
🤤 4.5/5

𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗳𝘂 𝗣𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀
The tofu pockets were really dry and the rice stuffing was too spicy.

𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲
Not your French Madeleine. The texture was stiff and off, but I liked that the sweetness was toned down a lot.
🤤 2/5

𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗻𝘂𝘁 & 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹
Crunchy walnut + chewy persimmon = time to savour each bite mindfully 😋.
🤤 4.5/5

𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗸𝗲
Reminds me of the one brought back by a Korean colleague ages ago - lovely soft and springy texture.

𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁
The crust was too soft and the mango was very sour, which is weird when it’s mango season right now.
🤤 2/5

𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆
Same as the 🥭 tart, very very sour.
🤤 2/5

𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲-𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗝𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆
Was expecting a lot more 🥥 flavours and fragrance.
🤤 3/5

🌱 Vegetarian paradise: Extra kudos to them for using all natural ingredients and minimal seasoning. 🏞️ Beautiful and grounding interior.
💰 HK$220-330 pp
⭐️ Overall rating: 3.5/5
