I was seated quickly and given a menu. I asked for a hot cake as the tomato jam and the need to photograph a bear stamped pancake interested me. But the wait staff told me they had ran out for the day.
So I ordered the omurice and the special latte. Sweet tomato fizz, I was told was kind of like a gin and tonic crossed with tomato juice. Maybe another time.

While waiting, I was given a kumamoto button. A little while later another wait staff gave me two more! Apparently, you get a free badge if you order from the menu. You could collect all six.

Food arrived a few minutes later. Omurice came on a plate with the bear decorated on it. Size was small. I assumed Kagome brand ketchup was used. Omelet was not very fluffy. Rice was a bit hard. In addition to ketchup in the rice, they added pickles. That's a bit different as all the omurice places don't use pickles. Ketchup could have been squeeze on nicer as Kagome ketchup bottles are designed to be squeezable in a finer line than other brands, making them a popular choice in many maid cafes in Japan. Salad had a few squares of tomato. I assume from the Kagome brand as that is what the event is about. I know Kagome branded tomatoes are ridiculously expensive, but geez...a few dices from a whole tomato is pretty dismal. Salad greens were ok. Dressing was Thousand Island.

Finished my dinner and cute sleeping bear at the middle of the plate.

Special latte was basically regular latte but decorated with chocolate powder sprinkles of the bear. Latte was just super sweet liquid. No coffee was tasted. Way too much foam.

But the mug was cute. Here's the back of it!
