Decided to go to Lawry's with a few friends as I've read many good reviews about this place.Date visited: May 21 We had a dinner reservation for 8pm - no wait time we were sitting in one of the Ushape tables.The atmosphere is very old a bit dim inside. Roasted Baby Back Ribs - $428
(includes salad, pumpkin soup with water shrimp, yorkshire pudding, mango mousse cake, coffee or tea and a glass of house wine)
The bread basket - the bread was cold, the butter was hard - did not like this at all
The Famous Original Spinning Bowl SaladInteresting to see the salad made for you
Taste was alright - I do like how they gave you chilled forks that was a good touch
The pumpkin soup - I found this to be watery you could taste a lot of stock
The Lawry Cut - one of our main dishesThis made up for all the appetizers. The meat was cooked perferctly so tender and juicy.
Baby Back Ribs - the 2nd mainThis main was HUGE portion! I loved the fries that it came with. The bbq sauce was delicious and the meat also tender.
Im glad we only ordered 2 dishes because both the mains were very large.
The mango mousse cakeVery tiny portion the mango mousse was good but the cake was a bit dry.
Overall my experience at Lawry's was not bad. I'd definetly go back to eat the ribs!
Also, If your a citi bank member the Managers meal is even more discounted.
