Want to have a fine nice dinner with boyfriend for a special night, so I booked Le q in Central as recommended by friend, the Le q café & Bar.The bar is on the ground floor with causal decoration. Apart from the A La Carte menu, there is a Tasting Menu ($488) as well.
After we decided to go for the tasting menu, waiter brought us with fresh olive bread.
The bread is soft and fresh, it is good enough even without any olive oil and vinegar.
Spanish Ham and Parma Ham and Parmesan Risotto are served as a starter.
Personally like the Spanish Ham and Parma Ham so much. This came with caramelized figs and rocket to balance the right balance of the taste, and the sauce - truffle honey is just too matching with the ham.
It sounds special to have Parmesan Risotto as a starter, but the proportion is just good enough so that we don’t think it’s too much.
The taste of Parmesan is not too much so that it matches very well with the loster-scallop ragout, zucchini and tarragon oil, which makes the risotto so flavorsome. Also I was delighted by its creamy texture.
For the main, there are Pan Seared USDA Rib Eye and Chicken Roulade for our choices, so we tried both.
For me, the Pan Seared USDA Rib Eye is in quite big portion, the rib is thick and cooked just as how we wanted it to be – the medium rare. A bit crispy outside, and when we cut it, the color of the meat is beautiful. The rib is juicy and al dente. With the shallot red wine jus, the taste is well-balanced.
The Chicken Roulade looks so appetising, Foie Gras Terrine, mushroom and shaved black truffles were stuffed with the tender chicken, which makes the chicken delicious.
Cheese cake was served with berries, which balance the rich texture and taste of cheese cake. Cheese cake is smooth and not too sweet.
We are so full and satisfied after having all above, and final it came the vanilla ice-cream. The rich taste of milk and vanilla really made this dinner the perfect end.
