On a typical weekday, I felt compelled to stop into Pret for a quick lunch because I was nearby. On a typical weekday, I felt compelled to stop into Pret for a quick lunch because I was nearby. I grabbed a cup of coffee, a Scottish smoked salmon sandwich, and, of course, lemon cheesecake, the worst nightmare of all. So, how did it turn out to be a nightmare? The smoked salmon sandwich wasn't particularly outrageous , so it wasn't enough to compensate for the cheesecake's shortcomings. After finishing the sandwich, I started digging in my desert, but I soon became nauseous. The cheesecake's sweetness was so overpowering that I couldn't finish it all( I had to drink my entire cup of coffee to balance out the flavours)
Overall, it was a fair experience; the coffee was just alright , and the service was adequate; I would return again, but would clearly order something else!
