What's not better than a lonely meal on Valentine's Day? A Good Lonely Meal! Coming here as my favourite prawn noodles restaurant in town. I went for basic with a drink and a noodles. I have ordered the classic prawn noodles as well as a prawn cutlet on the side.
The prawn noodles has a milky soup base with a lot of flavourful chili oil floating on top. It's not too salty nor fishy but with a rich shrimp taste. The soup is probably cooked with lots of shrimp shell and heads if I am not mistaken.
There are lots of giant prawns in the soup noodles. They have been de-shelled and very easy to eat. The prawns are crunchy and tasted fresh. It's particularly enjoyable along with some deep fried tofu puff which absorbs all the flavourful soup.
The noodles is the classic alkaline noodles which is thick with a greasy surface. They are smooth and oily which is also great to go with the strong flavour soup base.
I have also ordered a side of prawn deep fried prawn cakes to avoid i being soggy. The prawn cakes are nicely minced until very fine. It's not deep fried until super crunchy that would hurt your mouth, but just crispy enough on the outside, and moist on the inside.
They are thinly chopped and it's just right to go with the Thai style sweet chili sauce on the side !
Nothing is wrong with having dinner alone on V Day. Just love yourself and love the food you consumed. I had a wonderfully delicious meal and I am happy! : )
