Went there because of seeing all the fun on social media and thought it looked like a cool place to go. In theory it looked great, nice decorations, looks like a really fun and chill place to go. I usually like most stuff from Castelo. Called their phone like three times to try and alert them to the fact that we were going to be late for our booking but seems their phone line was diverted to the manager at home who sounded asleep when he called me back about an hour later when we were already se
Food: was very well presented and tasted really good, the skewers were pretty awesome, it was all in the sauce that made that dish however the meat was slightly a bit too tough. I am so glad I ordered two dishes because the taco's were tiny and for $150 I was expecting more than 4 bites. The taco's though tasted delicious and were nice and juicy, just I guess I should maybe treat everything on the menu like Tapas.
Drinks: They have a deal at the moment where after you buy your 2nd, 3rd, 4th beer the price gets cheaper, so between the three of us we ordered 6 and were expecting the cheaper price, but apparently this only applies to individuals and not as a table (no mention on the collateral or at ordering time). We originally tried ordering bloody mary's but apparently the bartender was off at lunch and the poor girl serving didnt know how to make them. Bartender only came back around 2pm. Not the best kind of service when your bartender is away during lunch hour. We were ready to order quite a few more drinks but was just too difficult to get peoples attention.
All in all I was fairly let down by this place, but I would like to come back again and let them redeem themselves. I am sure usually when they are in peak periods or at night they are usually pretty good and decent, but during downtime it seems to all fall apart.
