Would rather the lotus root be blanched, not fried. Not only was the fried lotus less than healthy drenched in oil, it was tough to bite through. We were not the only ones. The other picture is from the plate at the neighbouring table. When it really could have been a nice treat to the assortment of vegetables. Root - stem - and fruit.Apparently the chef insists on having it fried. But the customer is sending it back.A waste of perfectly edible food.

Root - stem - and fruit.

Apparently the chef insists on having it fried. But the customer is sending it back.

A waste of perfectly edible food.
