Walking into Double Happiness is like stepping into someone's home. It's beautifully decorated, quaint, comforting, and rich in personality and charisma. Walking into Double Happiness is like stepping into someone's home. It's beautifully decorated, quaint, comforting, and rich in personality and charisma. Decorated with great charm, the food is wonderful. I've been here for lunch many times, and every day they have three different specials to choose from. I've been having a lot of fun choosing different ones now and I have not been disappointed.
The lunch set includes a soup (which is always delicious - and very traditional recipe -- reminscent of the soups my mother used to cook for me when I was very young) and then a dish that's a rice/noodle based with a pairing of protein. The meat (from pork, to rib to sirloin to chicken breast) have always been cooked well and are constantly juice but more importantly, I love their sauces - the garlic sauce, though simple in sound was rather amazing and their sweet and sour sauce is so addictive that even without any meat left, I'm still scooping up the sauce to eat.
The service here is consistently warm and attentive and I think I've definitely found my prime go-to lunch spot.
