Came here at 3pm and there was no queue, finally! Maybe also because of the Covid situation. My partner and I ordered one lunch set to share, among other ala carte dishes. I especially got my partner to try with me because I've had this before and this is my 2nd time at Ya Onsai. This time I ordered the herbal soup as I wanted to try something new. Ehhh, I'd suggest to stick to my previous order of tomato soup. We were not very used to this herbal soup taste as it had a strong cinnamon taste? Don

The rock stars were the restaurant's selection of meats and seafood.

Go for the porky belly and the Kumamoto Pork collar (it tasted better than the default pork collar).

The clams were really good. Not sure what variety it was though. But the distinctive sea taste was present in the clams without any foul smell.
And the oysters were nice too.

This had soft bones in it - quite thoughtful as that gave dimensions in the texture.

The truffle taste was obvious.

My partner and I would still look forward to coming back another time. It is slightly costly to eat here but at least the quality was on point.

Only one minor grudge is that I don't quite appreciate the sauces here - sesame sauce and yuzu soy sauce(?). The sesame sauce tasted a little off or not as expected. Perhaps due to the fact that this is a *Japanese* hot pot? All in all, I'd love to eat here again.
