I have an awful habbit of overindulging on foods I like, so when I adore a type of food, I can have it for weeks at a time. I was on a burrito streak once, and had it for lunch for almost 3 weeks - my friend wanted to have a bet with me on whether I could eat burritos for lunch for 2 months in a row, in exchange for HK$3,000. I thought I probably could, but it would mean that I couldn't try other food for lunch for 2 months, so I turned down the offer. This Vero shop is very close to my office,
This Vero shop is very close to my office, and for around 2 weeks I went there to get one piece of chocolate dessert everyday (I tend to visit the Central cake shops in rotation).
(1) The Chocolate Eclair is one of my favourite desserts at Vero. I love the cream inside the eclair, and nuts add a fantastic crunch to it. This eclair and the La Maison du Chocolat eclairs are both excellent. (2) I really like Vero's "5" Mini Muffin Collection because a normal muffin is too filling for me to eat as a dessert, whereas I can still eat a few mini muffins after a meal without getting too full. The five flavours are: signature dark, blueberry, salted caramel, hazelnut and banana. All of them are great flavours, and I like dark chocolate the most, as I can actually taste the bitter chocolate taste in it (whereas a lot of other chocolate muffins use milk chocolate and have a less refined cocoa taste).
