I still remembered the first time I heard the name 'Pret' was six years ago. Since then, I have been longing to have a try at this sandwich shop from UK. Until last time when I had a visit to Ocean Park with my British friend, I bought a wrap for light lunch. The name 'Pret' sounds quite familiar to me since I had come across this word every time when I was in Central or Wan Chai. Recently, I had a try at the one in Elements, which was just opened for less than a year. I ordered a tea set with carrot cake and filter coffee that cost me $38. If they were ordered individually, I thought the cost might be at least $10-15 higher. First, I really believed that the carrot cake was made with the best ingredients around the world. The texture was smooth and the carrot cream layer was not too heavy. Then, the coffee might be better than others, though the taste was a bit disappointing.
To conclude, spending an afternoon leisurely reading, having a tea set was just that simple, particularly in high-end shopping malls (Elements, IFC...etc). I really wished that I could try other delicacies of 'Pret'.
