They started us off with bread in a paper bag. I guess it's useful if you can't finish it and take it with you. The bread was pretty good. Chewy and soaked up the balasmic vinegar well.

For one of the starters,  we chose Andrea's Cold Cuts. A generous portion of parma ham and a pickled onion on top. I did love the pickled onion the most. The ham was nice and not too salty but the onion really stole the show.

Beef Carpaccio was our other appetizer. The beef was soft and delicate. A generous topping of Parmesan and rocket lettuce.

For one of the mains was the Lasagna Classica (extra $10). This was very cheesy. The top was actually a layer of grilled cheese.  The beef ragu was mostly layered with gooey cheese. Possibly one of the cheesiest lasagnas I've ever had.

Chitarra Prawn was the other main. Originally there was chilli but I can't really eat spicy, they were nice enough to remove that for me. Lots of tiny shrimp that were fresh and firm. The pasta was a squid ink pasta that was a perfect al dente. Coated with a rich bisque sauce.

For dessert we had a tiramisu. Very rich with a strong taste of espresso. It was like falling into a cloud of cream.

The other dessert was a panna cotta. Topped with a sharp raspberry compote, the panna cotta was rich and decadent.

Lunch is quite a good deal as portion size was very generous. We rolled out of there fairly full. Even boyfriend was full. Still one of my favourite places in town.
