The award-winning Red Velvet cupcakes were sold out but we tried a Mocha cupcake, which was pricey at HKD22, but quite a luxurious experience. It comes packed in a paper box, sealed with a Sift sticker and a reminder not to put the cupcake in the refrigerator.

The Mocha cupcake had a Valrhona dark chocolate cake base and a smooth, creamy mocha icing. Unlike other cupcakes we'd had, the cake was nice and moist without being too sweet. The icing was quite sweet but gave just the right amount of balance to the cake base. Unfortunately, it runs on the small side so the experience was over all too quickly.

Definitely a luxury, but well worth it!
