Walking around Wanchai after dinner, boyfriend and I came across this small soft serve shop serving matcha soft serve ice cream! As the place is small, they have limited seating. The small space had various travel photos. Later, I discovered the place had a travel theme.
Uji Matcha Affogato ($36). I ordered this as I had never had a matcha affogato before. The regular one, yes. Matcha, no. It arrived on a tray with a tiny pitcher of warm matcha latte.
Pouring it on, it was more like an extra layer of sauce over the soft serve than actual espresso over ice cream. But this was lovely anyways. The soft serve was smooth and creamy. It had a strong fragrant taste of matcha that I like. The addition of the matcha latte was just an another shot of green tea.
Fairly good ice cream stop and makes me want to just order a regular cone next time. Or at least their premium versions with all the azuki beans and stuff. I'll be back.
