It was a lunch gathering on a weekday and the restaurant is only half full. I cannot say the service is bad, it is attentive but lacks any passion or a smiley face which you would expect at this tier of restaurant.Set lunch is at $200 per person but by all means these are just inflated price Hong Kong style western dishes then any American style bistro. We all have the same set menu; the same New Zealand tenderloin which we all ordered medium. the tenderloin arrived at the same time but my steak

And I should be glad that it is overcooked - it's stale with such a coarse texture.
The coffee has turned so bitter, probably as a result of too few people drinking the same pot for too long
For this price I can comfortably seat in Mandarin or anyway for a decent lunch. A disappointing experience and I can only wish Madison's good luck.
