I have tried 銀座梅林 Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin for many times before. I thought it offered pretty good quality food with reasonable price. So I went there again for dinner this evening. Yet the experience tonight was shocking. I guess the restaurant was trying to make me an official Halloween dinner of this year. Oh well, they can consider their job well done.

For tonight's dinner, I order their signature dish (also my favorite dish) - Tonkatsu, as usual. The pork cutlet looked good and I was enjoying it until I was halfway my dinner. After I had two of the six piece pork cutlet, I found the third piece was undone. So I paused and asked the waitress to take a look. She took the dish back to the kitchen with her. After a couple minutes, she came out and said the chef believed there was nothing wrong with the dish. Their pork cutlet does look like this as always. I was totally in awe of the response. So I asked if they really expected their customers to eat a Tonkatsu like this and she said YES..........

Well, I don't know about the other customers. When I visit a Tonkatsu place, I expect my cutlet to be deep fired and well done. Not something like what you can see in the picture I took during my dinner. "PORK TARTARE" or Tonkatsu .... I will let you to be the judge.

For me, I have already voted with my feet - 銀座梅林 Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin, is an absolutely NO NO on my list for a decent dinner place.
