Nestled in a revitalised heritage building in Wan Chai, Maison Meiji provides diners with a Meiji-era inspired dining experience. The pork was quite dry and lacked seasoning, not to mention the portion was quite small. The BBQ sauce was actually quite tasty but shame there was not enough of it. The accompanying elements were well executed and we really had to rely on the roast garlic to give the pork a bit more flavour. Shame that its such a nicely presented dish but taste doesn’t live up to its appearance.
Pic 2️⃣: Omurice with Wagyu Demi-Glace Sauce - $168 hkd 🍳
— This was pretty good. Been wanting to try out their omurice for the longest time and this did not disappoint. The eggs were creamy, fluffy and well seasoned. The demi-glace sauce had the perfect amount of sweetness and savouriness to it which went well with the omelette. The wagyu chunks were very tender but I wish there was a bit more! This definitely hits the spot if you’re looking for a high quality omurice in town!

— Pretty good soup to start off the meal. The mushroom flavour was rich but the slightly too much salt in my opinion. The soup had a nice consistency to it and went down smoothly.
📍Ambiance: interior is beautiful, staff are friendly but also quite busy
⭐️Would visit again?: Probably - really wanted to try out their cakes but they were sold out really early 😅
