I had gone in to look around this patisserie for a few times but hubby’s lack of interest always drove me out. The ceramic tiramisu container was so dainty that I wanna take it home. However, the tiramisu was rather hard upon long cooling in the fridge. I choked on the chocolate powder. The mascarpone flavor was ok with a nice touch of coffee liqueur at the bottom. Overall it’s so-so. I am not a fan of illy coffee and would appreciate if they brew their own coffee. Hubby’s danish was cold and lost much flavor. It was moderately crispy and buttery, and the pear tasted like sugary peach. The look is better than the taste. Well, maybe our taste buds were weakened by the coffee.
We took their corporate booklet home and read that the founder recommends their hot chocolate and bread most. We suppose we’re missing on their best items. Probably will come back to try the lamb stew.
