It's quite surprising to say that it is my first time ever coming to Beverly Hills in Hong Kong. By taking 14M from Lee Garden, it only takes less than 10 mins to reach to the top of the hill, and it took me another 2 mins to talk to the restaurant. The restaurant is located right next to another Chinese restaurant in the clubhouse. I was told that you may even join the membership but I am not sure whats the full benefit of being a member. I was being so ignorant about all the membership thingie
I was being so ignorant about all the membership thingie because I was literally overwhelmed by the interior which was super spacious and classic with a full on wooden wall and wooden wine shelves. The restaurant brings you to a opened dining area with comfortable lining seatings and a well stocked wine shelf, while a more private dining table would be available around the corner. If you wish to have an even more private dining experience, a private room for around 10 people would also be available for a group party or just any dinner with a bigger group of friends, while another bigger room was right next to the private room with around 5 comfortable tables, also surrounded by a wide selection of wine and country style decorations. We were then served with two types of bread including a ciabatta like bread and a few slices of butter bread. I personally liked the ciabatta bread more because it was airy and warm inside and crunchy on the outside. French Onion Soup $48
A classic French soup to order from the menu, also one of their most famous soup. They are serving a lighter version of onion soup without the dramatic overflowing cheese but a cleaner clear soup with just a the right amount of onion to give the sweetness, and only one slice of garlicky baguette was topped with some melted cheese sprinkled on top after broiled.

This dish looked very basic and simple but it tasted absolutely amazing with no joke. The smoked salmon was housemade which takes about 4 days to prepare. We were told that a whole fillet of salmon was marinated in sugar, salt, pepper, 2 types of alcohols, and more, massage it until it gets cured, flip and massage the fillet again daily until the delicate piece of fish was well seasoned.
Thinly sliced transparent smoked salmon was then sprinkled with some poppy seed to provide an extra crunch to the soft bites. It tasted even better after squeezing a few drops of fresh lemon juice to awaken the freshness from the flavour fish. This type of smoked salmon was nothing like what I have tried before, it was definitely surprising and changed my concept to what smoked salmon should taste like.

It is not beef wellington. The restaurant told us that it was simply a good piece of elegant succulent beef fillet wrapped around with puff pastry before it got baked until perfect golden brown. The beef fillet was cooked just right until a very sexy pink centre yet not too watery or bloody that it would make the pastry soggy. The reduction on the size also gave a good compliment to the beef itself. Though the beef fillet did not have a powerful beef taste, the buttery crust from the pastry and the earthy mushroom taste from the sauce enhanced the beefy taste from the meat. It's the beauty and the beast, they can't live without each other. This main was served with a few slices of cream potato which was not bad too!

This cake made no stranger on the menu in American but it's not the most common dessert to be found in Hong Kong. The cake is simple a cake base with some slow cooked cinnamon-y apple wedges on top, and then top off with some almond flakes, fresh creams, as well as some house prepared toffee sauce and chocolate sauce. The base was not simply any boring cake base, but it was a kind of puff pastry base. The sweet apple taste was very prominent that it stood out from all other ingredients from the cake. It was definitely a treat to enjoy after a long meal and it was just nice to have something sweet to sweeten our lives a little bit after a long day.

Lastly, I had to order a cup of double espresso to keep my night going as I am going to work late tonight. I won't say it's the best cup of espresso I have ever had but at least it satisfied my caffeine craving.
