Bafung Dumplings has several branches throughout Hong Kong. From Taiwan, they are known for dumplings. But now they've expanded or rebranded? To become Bafung Noodles and More. Located inside CityPlaza's Eslite bookstore, we decided to just eat here for dinner.Menu is English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. Menu is English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. It's a bit like a food court so you must order at the cashier and pick it up when it's ready. They offer noodles and rice dishes that can be combined with a side along with an additional price for a set drink. Boyfriend decided to get the Taiwanese Rice Noodles with 10 Pieces of Pan Fried Leek Dumplings ($54). This was a lot of dumplings! Pan fried well, the skin was thin enough and lots of filling. The noodles were abit more watery than he was used to and a bit on the salty side. I had the Dry Noodles with Taiwanese Sesame Sauce and 5 Pieces of Boiled Pork Dumpings ($54). The dumplings tasted fine but the skin was a bit thick. I didn't like the noodles. The sauce was too thick and clumpy. Though portion was generous. It came with half an egg and some vegetables. I added $6 for an Assam Tea. This was actually sweetened with syrup. It was actually not too bad.
The food wasn't very good. Not great but not that good. The dumplings were the best. But the noodles were terrible. Typical mall food so won't be back.
