To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. The food here subverted my impression toward the traditional vegetarian food in Hong Kong. Although the new types of soy meat have been quite popular among the town in these few years, my memory of the chinese vegetarian restaurants remained the same, that there would be just a bunch of old people having tasteless boring veggie or some really fake imitate meat with too much food coloring. However, tho M Garden still served some regular dishes, like the taro fish, they also applied more creativity in designing dishes which are more like just the common Cantonese restaurant and the products were quite a success!

The Shredded Chicken was nearly no different with the real one and the Crispy Roll was fresh and taste good. Others are the rather simple dishes but with good quality.

The environment was decent too. Each table had a fair distance in between and was not overcrowded. Staff response was prompt and thoughtful.
