I have visited 9 different Korean restaurants in December 2008 and I dare say this is one of the top 3.went here for lunch with parents on sunday afternoon and there were no set lunches as it was a public holiday. but that's not a problem.it's a bit hard to find location wise - it's on bonham strand, near the big chinese 'bo wu' seafood restaurant. it's newly renovated and environment is decent. adequate tables too. we sat at a booth which was comfortable.food wins ALL the points! for 3 people w
went here for lunch with parents on sunday afternoon and there were no set lunches as it was a public holiday. but that's not a problem.
it's a bit hard to find location wise - it's on bonham strand, near the big chinese 'bo wu' seafood restaurant.
it's newly renovated and environment is decent. adequate tables too. we sat at a booth which was comfortable.
food wins ALL the points! for 3 people we ordered:
1. stir fried vermicelli (the usual potato starch vermicelli): served hot (not cold). texture of noodles is to the bite, perfect. cooked under just the right amount of time. this dish had a little spice to it but it wasn't too hot. 90/100
2. seafood bibimbap (stone pot rice): lots of squid, mussels, clams and some shrimp. SO good! will definitely order again. and it's reasonably priced too - at $100! however the rice was a bit soggy to begin with (cooked with too much water) so a crust didnt really form at the bottom (like it should) that loses points, but just a little. 80/100
3. seafood casserole: sizzling hot, just enough amount of spice. should try it. 85/100
banchan was very good. for 3 people we were given 8 dishes if i remember correctly. all were above average standard.
portion size was very decent. the amount of ingredients used is generous too which again deserves praise
service is attentive, quick. no language problem (a big issue with lots of korean restaurants even here in HK) so points for that.
MUST try!
