Butao is so far my favourite ramen restaurant in HK! It is like a hidden ninja eatery, lurking around the corner waiting for you to be discovered. The ordinary ramen (83HKD, service charge exclusive), cuttlefish sauce black ramen (93HKD) and juicy pork shoulder slices (15-17HKD for extra 3 pieces) are so rich in flavor of pork and skipjack tuna. The ramen noodles are silky smooth!I particularly like its Central and Sha Tin branch as they do not vary their serving portions of pork shoulder slices

I particularly like its Central and Sha Tin branch as they do not vary their serving portions of pork shoulder slices every time, and the degree of cooking stays at 90% cooked all the time, remaining its tenderness.
Love/Recommended:
The cheapest ordinary ramen(83HKD) is actually my favorite! The soup has hints of salty skipjack tuna, strengthening depth and substance. The dark cuttlefish sauce ramen (93HKD) is very special, with generous cuttlefish sauce covering the whole bowl, making this dish of black looking fashionable . There’s also a scope of black ground meat ball on top of it! The taste is nice but I prefer the ordinary ramen for its conspicuous hint of the salty fish.
The pork shoulder slices (15-17HKD) are well cooked 90% to keep its tenderness, and the thickness is perfect. They are not rough at all and are not fatty. I enjoy its Japanese atmosphere with its small but harmonic design and long wooden tables.
Dislike/Improve?:
:? TST and Central branch is really small that you cannot even make a turn, which you may find enjoyable if you don’t mind.
:? I wish they allow more vegetable serving for each bowl, it’s not that expensive but definitely wins the heart of health-conscious eaters.
